Trick or Treat Safety Tips:

  1. Plan your route and stick to familiar houses, preferably on well lit streets with light traffic

  2. Use apps that include location sharing to stay connected if you get separated

  3. Create an emergency plan just in case you get separated like a designated meeting spot

  4. Go over safety rules with your kids before the big night

  5. Double check costumes to make sure they are well fitting to reduce the risk of tripping

  6. Place reflective tape on costumes and candy buckets so kids are visible, also carry flashlights or glow sticks

  7. Pay Attention and be aware of your surroundings, especially when crossing a busy street

  8. Use cross walks or cross the street at a corner, especially in a group
