DESCRIPTION:If you support working people and Labor Unions\, please join our annual Labor Day Parade! \nWe will line up starting at 10:00 AM at S. 3rd and Market st. Same as the last couple years. The parade route is different due to construction. Parade starts at 12 Noon. We will travel north on 3rd turn right on south Park place and proceed in a circle around the courthouse square\, returning to the parking lot where we started. \nFollowing the parade\, lunch will be served at the USW 244 Union Hall at 350 Hudson Ave. All are welcome.

SUMMARY:3rd Annual Fall Youth Fishing Derby
DESCRIPTION:The City of Newark Parks Department will be hosting the 3rd annual Fall Youth Fishing Derby on Saturday\, September 12th at T.J. Evans Family Park.\nThe derby is open to youth aged 15 and under. Registration is free and in-person registration and check-in begin at 7:30am. Fishing starts at 8am following a brief introduction at shelter house #3. All fish caught (any species) will be brought for weigh-in as they are caught. Weigh-in stops at 10:45am and awards will begin around 11am. First through third place trophies will be awarded based on total weight of fish caught. Door prizes will be raffled off throughout the event.\nT.J. Evans Family Park fishing permits are NOT required for participation. However\, all T.J. Evans Family Park rules apply.\nT.J. Evans Family Park will be closed September  10th and 11th and will reopen for the event on September 12th at 7:30am.\nFor any questions\, call (740)-670-7775.
