Origin:
2018-The observance gained major momentum following the passing of U.S. Senator John McCain, who died of glioblastoma.  Ironically, the same year as Jeff.

The Disease:
Glioblastoma accounts for approximately half of all primary malignant brain tumors and has a very low 5-year survival rate, making the search for a cure highly urgent.
