Carol Strawn Center Caregiver Education Class
The Carol Strawn Center will offer a Caregiver Education Class titled
"Managing Difficult Behaviors and Effective Communication Techniques".
The changes that occur in the brain from Alzheimer's disease and other
forms of dementia alter the affected person's ability to think and act.
The person with dementia becomes disoriented and his/her ability to learn
or accomplish new skills will be affected. These changes can be upsetting
to both the person with dementia and to individual's family. In this class
you will learn to effectively manage the challenging behaviors of the
person with dementia. Please join The Carol Strawn Center for this informative class on
Wednesday, June 25th from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at: Newark City Library, 101
West Main Street in Newark. The class is free for seniors over
60 years old and donations are appreciated for those under 60 years of
age. Registering assures there are enough handouts material available, call (740) 345-5190
