FATAL CRASH
The investigation continues into a fatal crash in Perry County. According to the Lancaster Post of the State Patrol, just before 5:00 pm Monday, Larry Dennis, of Zanesville, was traveling west on Tunnel Hill Road near Township Road 487 when he went off the right side of the road and struck a culvert and tree. Dennis, 52, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
MASS SHOOTING IN CANADA
Ten people – including the alleged suspect - have been killed and dozens wounded after a shooting at a school and a home in northeast British Colombia on Tuesday afternoon. Police know the identity of the shooter, who was found dead at the school with a self-inflicted injury, but did not give further details and declined to say if they were a child.
NEWARK MAN INDICTED ON CHILD PORN CHARGES
A 27-year-old newark man accused of having child pornography has been indicted. Corey Ortman faces multiple charges including four counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor. Ortman was arrested after authorities in Nebraska said he allegedly received photos from a 10-year-old girl. He remains held on $1 million bond.

ROMANCE SCAMS
According to the FBI, in 2024, over 7,600 individuals over the age of 60 reported losing more than $389 million to romance scams.
Janice Hitzeman, Attorney Inspector, Ohio Department of Commerce, said they offer an online resource at www.com.ohio.gov that outlines tactics commonly used in these scams, as well as actionable steps to protect yourself and your finances.
